What's new in Odontior 2.0
Odontior 2.0 derives (semantically) from Odontior 1.1: a desktop application for Windows, published in 2005.
It is, however, built on the top of the Joty 2.0 framework from which it receives advantage of the inherent features, that is:
- to be a reach internet application or a client server application
- to run on Linux, Windows and Mac OS X as well.
- to be a multi-language application at workstation level (workstations working on the same application can be set with different languages at the same time)
After that, Odontior 2.0 has the following aspects added in respect of the previous version:
- The separation of the customer entity from the patient entity: now the customer, the person which is presented with the bill, is allowed not to be part of the patients set, instead he/she may be only responsible for one or more patients, including him/herself. On the other side a patient, the person that is subject to interventions, may have more persons that take care of the payment of the bill.
- The adding of the insurance company entity, of a generalized reimbursement plan with covering percentage applied to each cataloged intervention type. This comes with the possibility to classify each customer insurance coverage within a range of three types and even as a mixed flavors of them, just to be held as annotation about the insurance coverage of the customer or, even, as an helper for generating an estimate to the customer.
- An improved searcher and navigational form for the patient archive.
- The enrichment of the first insight of the patient with the separation of the queued events from the scheduled events.
- A more suitable and flexible reserved data section for the patient.
- An improved clinical card form that now gives a powerful informative perception.
- The adding of the decidual teeth (for children).
- The separation of the pricing contexts from the clinical scenarios with consequent more selective insight for the working personnel.
- A generally improved facility of the selection of the datum when it is looked up within a set.
- An easier form for setting up the teeth and the quadrants symbols.
A completely new hardware scenario comes into play with Odontior 2.0, again thanks to the Joty 2.0 technology:
- As part of the Odontior 2.0 suite, a flavor running a subset of the application features, on any handset device hosting the Android Os, has been developed; this "accessory", named Odontior Mobile 1.0, integrates the usability of the overall web application.
